The WXCALCS application gives you access to the most common weather calculations in a single application. You can calculate the Wind Chill, Dew Point, Heat Index, Temperature-Humidity Index, and convert between Fahrenheit and Celsius temperatures with ease. You may also display charts of the various weather calculation tables and easily determine what the weather is doing for you.
The CB91 application was originally written as a project for the National Weather Service Cooperative Observer Program. The application was developed with the assistance of a Cooperative Program Manager in the National Weather Service who obtained a Pioneer Fund Grant to assist in the financing of the development of the application. Weather data observations can be input using this application to create a station database. Editing of previously entered data is then allowed along with producing on screen, printed, and disk file reports. An official cooperative observer with the assistance of a National Weather Service Cooperative Program Manager, used this application on a daily basis to transmit a coded weather report directly to National Weather Service computers. This application is no longer distributed by the National Weather Service. If you would like to use the CB91 application for your data records, contanct L'Softworks Limited.

A Windows application, Compuwx, is now available for testing and initial use. This application is currently under development. The version available at the time of this documentation does not have all of the features that exist in the L'Softworks Limited LWEATHER and DAILY applications. It serves as an installation base for Windows systems. The current DOS Prompt applications can be run from ICONS created in the Compuwx Program Group or from a Program Runner option within the Compuwx application. Contact L'Softworks Limited to order this application along with the DOS Prompt programs that currently exist.
If you haven't seen the right Weather program yet, don't give up! In addition to the previous applications, the programming staff has created some utility programs which allow you to convert the data you collect with various weather instruments (Davis Weather Monitor II, HeathKit, and others upon request). The converted data files can then be read by the LWEATHER or DAILY application to keep your database uptodate! This allows you to use the features of the applications to track your own station records with ease!
